Cini Boeri has devoted herself to the fields of architecture and design for four decades now - and the result is an impressive life work. The Italian designer has enjoyed a long association with Rosenthal, which now reaches back for more than twenty years.

Born and raised in Milan, she also studied at the Milan Polytechnic and began her career in the studio of the Italian avantgarde architect Marco Zanuso. In 1963, she opened her own architectural and design studio, and since then she has been working with a small team in many areas of architecture and product design. Many of her creations have been distinguished with the highest awards; as early as 1979, she received the highly esteemed "Compasso d'oro" for the first time.

Cini Boeri's interiors are characterised by her uncompromising commitment to reduced geometries and the use of exquisite materials. Conceived on the conviction that form should follow function, her designs create a synthesis of sensual and practical functionality. An example of this is the design of the "Ypsilon" and "Prisma" product families, the "Folio" range of easy chairs, and the "me" creation - all in all, furniture of timeless modernity and quality.
